NSD-Fusion GmbH is a growing start-up company located in northern Germany, near Bremen. We are active in a niche area of measurement technology. Our clients are world-wide and include, Universities, Physics and Research Institutes and Industrial Customers. NSD's business is based on its unique longest life, high performance, yet affordable, neutron generator technology.
This is a unique position for an "all rounder". We are seeking someone who can primarily provide support for the implementation of new financial software/Open ERP, who will be responsible for establishing a small stockroom and inventory control system.
- The candidate should be fluent in German and should have a good command of English.
- The candidate should also have formal education or experience in an area related to Business/IT, Finance or Project Management.
- Completion of a (kaufmännische Ausbilding) or knowledge of German accounting practices (Buchhaltung) and/or controlling would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, warehouse logistics would be an advantage.
- Very good computer skills required (not just MS Office; eg. Open Office running on Linux)
- Able to work in a team environment and show initiative.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone studying part-time or nearing the end of their studies or for a motivated, technically interested and qualified person. In this new position the candidate will have the freedom to develop and expand. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to work through problems independently. We are interested in a long term relationship for the right person. Initially the position will begin as part-time but the hours will increase with acquisition of new projects.
Duties include:
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Support the transition and manual collation of invoices and bookkeeping (for the accountant) to the ERP system.
- Project controlling.
- Establish and outfit of a small stockroom.
- Implement inventory control.
- Provide general office support.

Economic engineer or graduate in business management with main focus logistics / production management for measurement technology industry or comparable qualification
The commercial operations require the focused support of an industrial commercial operations officer with many years of experience in production build-up and operations, export sales with focus on product liability, contract law, finance management, finance controlling, balance analysis, labour law, and liability questions.
The position offers immediate top level responsibilities in a small dynamic innovative technology business in the rapid growth phase. A wide range of customers will expose the successful candidate to many industries.
We are seeking an individual who is prepared to do tasks ranging from those that demand the above mentioned professional qualifications to the hands-on but vital tasks of production and product testing in the early days.
The successful candidate should be experienced in the engineering sciences: In particular, knowledge of nuclear physics/engineering would be an advantage. A formal qualification or proof of partial studies is preferred.
Formal qualification in commercial (Kaufmannisch) studies is required. A Business Management Engineer (Betriebswirtschafts Ingenieur/in) qualification is also appropriate. However a very commercially experienced engineer or commercial manager would be considered.
Flexible working hours: Part time work is envisaged at first. This will progress to a full time work load or additional hiring of support personnel.

The NSD neutron generator utilises technologies in the fields of vacuum, automation, high voltage technologies as well as advanced production processes. New variants are developed to fulfil customer requirements. Engineering to reduce product costs and maintain high quality of production are primary goals; as is serial production and testing cost reduction.
Dealing with suppliers will be a regular function. Production management skills will have many opportunities to be developed.
The production engineer will work closely with the development and nuclear engineers in support of new product realisation.
The position requires an engineer or suitably qualified and experienced technician with mechatronics or specialised technology or production engineering training with a Bachelor or higher professional engineering qualification. Training for the qualification of radiation safety officer to comply with the German StrlSchV will be provided.
